Job Description:

Solution Tree seeks a full-time Director of Educational Partnerships in MI & IN territory. Candidate must live either in MI or IN.

Experience and Skills:


The primary functions of this position are to:

  • Deliver sales at the goal number established by Solution Tree via phone, email, and on-site sales
  • Develop and execute a sales territory plan for Resources, Global PD, Events, Hybrids and Professional Development
  • Develop and execute a sales territory plan to increase sales in existing and new customers

Summary of essential job functions

  • Achievement of Sales Goal, measured in terms of:
    • Meeting monthly, quarterly, and yearly recognized revenue sales goals

  • Expense Management:
    • Complies with established guidelines
    • Uses good judgment with regard to company resources

  • Product Knowledge:
    • Demonstrates ability to present product to groups, formally, and individuals
    • Demonstrates knowledge of competition
    • Recognizes and shares trends that are identified with customers

  • Selling Skills and Market Feedback, including:
    • Solution Selling
    • Territory and Project Sales Planning
    • Customer Relationships with Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent and Director levels
    • Information-sharing with management/marketing
    • Successful business meetings with decision makers by phone

  • Technology and Business Skills
    • Able to manipulate company systems (i.e. Salesforce)
    • Able to work effectively with internal Sales Support, Inside Sales Team, and the Professional Development Team
    • Able to manipulate external sources for customer research and trends to direct Marketing and Business Development teams

  • Relationship Selling:
    • Actively engages in behaviors and activities that promote or strengthen relationships with customers, and work closely with manager to develop strategy

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s Degree

Proven track record in sales

Two years K-12 sales experience preferred

Abilities required

A valid driver’s license and ability for overnight travel are required

Residence in the territory required
