Job Description:

Marzano Research, a K-12 education research and development organization located in Centennial, Colorado, seeks a full-time Senior Research Advisor to support a portfolio of research partnerships and projects by providing expertise in structuring and maintaining partnerships, developing research agendas, and communicating and using research findings. This position will lead and manage the development of tools, processes, and resources to support researcher-practitioner partnerships. Responsibilities include providing high-quality, capacity-building coaching and technical support to facilitate the use of research evidence by practitioners and policymakers to improve education systems, practices, and outcomes; developing and managing strategic relationships with stakeholders, including state and local education agencies; and leading business development efforts.

Experience and Skills:

The ideal candidate has a master’s degree, with PhD or EdD strongly preferred, in education research, education, public policy, applied social sciences, or a related field; demonstrated experience in PK-12 education as a teacher and/or school-, district-, or state-level administrator; and five or more years of demonstrated experience in education settings leading projects related to school improvement, teacher or leadership development, or other large-scale initiatives. We have a preference for someone with knowledge and expertise in rural education; American Indian/Native American education; educator quality, preparation, and support; early learning; or education improvement. This position requires a demonstrated ability to write clearly about complex technical topics, and experience leading and managing projects, including establishing project timelines, monitoring budgets, delegating work, and supervising teams.
